Last update:

Belarus startup scenes have changed drastically in the past few years, gathering momentum in deep tech sectors such as AI and machine learning.

For entrepreneurs looking to build their startup, Minsk, the cultural and scientific hub of Belarus, has plenty to offer, including startup education programs, startup events, and the emergence of new coworking spaces.

Minsk, the capital city of Belarus, is known for its talented software engineers. It’s worth mentioning that the town is the homeland of global tech companies such as Viber, MSQRD, Wargaming, PandaDoc, and much more.

TechMinsk!

Established in 2013, TechMinsk as equity-free acceleration program for startups with the support of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) at Imaguru Startup Hub.

In 2019 TechMinsk team raised an Acceleration Fund and signed a partnership agreement with Google Launchpad to provide the most promising startups from Belarus with funding and knowledge.

In the latest development, the program is bringing together a group of compelling startups from TechMinsk Fall Batch on Demo Day at Imaguru Startup Hub Minsk on December 10. Each startup will have 3 mins pitch and 7 min for Q&As on the Demo Day stage.

During the Demo Day, investors will have a look at the TechMinsk startups, meet them at one-to-one meetings, and have real conversations with founders about follow-on cooperation.

Tania Marinich, Imaguru, and TechMinsk founder said:

We are expecting a great community of investors to join Demo Day. They will come over to Minsk one day before for a series of workshops, discussions, and networking. We are delighted 25+ invited investors from the US, Finland, Russia, Latvia, Kazakhstan, and Israel will attend Demo Day and the Investment Summit we organize at Imaguru.

In this regard, let’s have a look at the list of startups from Belarus to watch out for this year.
