EcoNetix: Digitising carbon projects and monitoring and tracking CO2
Founded by Jakob Zenz and Dr. Paul Nimmerfall, EcoNetix uses data to manage CO₂ reduction projects and helps integrate them into global markets as carbon assets.
The company’s proprietary technology combines digital monitoring, reporting and verification methods (dMRV) with end-to-end project and asset management.
This guarantees that climate protection measures, such as reforestation, mangrove projects, and innovative energy initiatives, are accurately documented, verified, and traded internationally as high-quality carbon credits.
As a result, the Austrian firm helps companies, financial investors and public institutions to efficiently achieve their climate goals while maximising transparency, credibility and social impact.
At present, the company operate in 9 countries on 3 continents with over 6 billion m2 of carbon projects under management.
The company is on a mission to save 1,000 million tons of CO2eq until 2050 and bring trust back to the carbon market.
“Since the early days of EcoNetix, we have been able to rely on Schoenherr,” says Paul Nimmerfall, COO of EcoNetix. “With great commitment, exceptional responsiveness and first-class legal expertise, the team has earned our trust – and remains a central partner on our growth journey.”
