Amsterdam-based Prosus, a global technology company, has announced a strategic partnership with Techleap, a Dutch non-profit organisation supported by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

The collaboration aims to advance Techleap’s mission to develop the Dutch tech ecosystem and assist scale-ups. As part of the deal, Prosus will offer its experience in artificial intelligence, company scaling, emerging markets, and tech networks to support the Techleap community.

Supporting Dutch tech founders

Prosus supports e-commerce brands across Europe, India, and Latin America, reaching 2 billion customers. Its technology ecosystem includes food delivery, payments, classifieds, travel, events, and mobility, using integrated systems to strengthen user engagement and build AI capabilities.

Through Prosus Ventures, the company invests in businesses that align with its ecosystem, focusing on AI, e-commerce, digital workforces, and emerging technologies such as robotics, drones, and synthetic biology.

From its hub in Amsterdam, Prosus develops scalable AI tools and supports founders building technology-driven companies. The company continues to focus on advancing Europe’s role in the development of future tech businesses.

Partnership with Techleap

Fabricio Bloisi, CEO of Prosus, says, “Partnering with Techleap is a great opportunity to create a new generation of Dutch AI-powered tech champions.”

“We have developed our own unique technology ecosystem focused on driving innovation, knowledge sharing and growth. We will work to further strengthen the Dutch tech ecosystem and establish it as Europe’s leading technology hub.”

Prosus and Techleap’s partnership will support tech founders and leadership teams of startups and scale-ups with strategies, tools, and insights for global growth.

Techleap will draw on Prosus’s experience across multiple tech ecosystems to strengthen the Dutch scale-up community through this collaboration.

Maarten Cleeren, Managing Director at Techleap, adds, “Prosus, as an investor, combines global reach with a long-term perspective. Its ability to think at scale, act with ambition, and champion transformative technologies like AI early on makes it a natural partner for founders navigating complex growth journeys.”

Techleap and Prosus plan to host joint leadership masterclasses in September and October 2025 for tech founders focused on business growth and innovation. The sessions will cover topics such as the use of data and AI in e-commerce, international expansion, capital raising, and digital regulation.

Before the Techleap and Prosus partnership, in March 2025, TNO, Techleap, and Invest-NL formed a strategic alliance to accelerate tech innovation, support startup growth, and boost competitiveness. The collaboration aimed to strengthen the position of the Netherlands and Europe in the global tech industry, where only four of the top 50 companies are currently European.
