Eindhoven-based LiveDrop, a company specialised in secure offline data transfer, announced the closing of an oversubscribed $2.5M (approximately €2.1M) seed round.
The funding round was led by Value Creation Capital, with additional participation from Secfund, a strategic Dutch initiative supporting national security innovation, and UK-based Kadmos Capital.
Value Creation Capital is a Dutch deep-tech investor with deep expertise in cybersecurity and defense, who brings valuable industry knowledge and a strong network in the high-tech sector.

The funding round also received strong support from existing investors, including Patronum Investment, alongside a select group of seasoned angel investors.
Among them is Cees Links, a renowned industry veteran widely recognized as a founding figure in Wi-Fi development.
The transaction was signed on June 18, 2025.

Fund utilisation
The company will use the funds to further scale its technology within defense, government, and civilian sectors.
The Dutch company is preparing for accelerated international deployment and deeper integration into existing secure data ecosystems.
In its early years, LiveDrop was supported by Rabobank and the Brabant Startup Fund, and through several grants.
This foundational support enabled the company’s current acceleration in scaling, standardisation, and international expansion.
LiveDrop: Securing offline data transfer
Founded in 2021 and led by Patrick Moreu, LiveDrop develops proprietary technology for fast, secure, and fully offline data transfer using optical encoding.
Designed as a dual-use solution, the technology offers particular value to the defense and national security sector, where secure, unidirectional data exchange is critical.
The company’s software-based approach runs on standard hardware, laptops, smartphones, and cameras, and can be seamlessly integrated into mission systems and existing software environments.
The twelve-person team focuses on Defense & Security as its primary market, with additional applications in Cybersecurity, Healthcare, and secure end-user devices.
