s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands-based BCS HR Software, a Human Resource Management (HRM) and payroll software provider, announced the acquisition of Amsterdam-based Plek, a provider of employee engagement and internal communication solutions.
The acquisition marks the eighth add-on since BCS partnered with Main Capital Partners in April 2022.
Main Capital Partners is a software investor managing private equity funds active in the Benelux, DACH, France, the Nordics, and the United States with approximately €6.5B in Assets under Management.
Charly Zwemstra, Founder & CEO of Main Capital Partners, says, “Since the start of our strategic partnership in 2022, BCS has made significant strides in expanding its product portfolio and geographical reach. The acquisition of Plek marks another important milestone in strengthening BCS’s position within the employee engagement segment. The combination of BCS’ back-end capabilities with Plek’s intuitive front-end platform creates a powerful and future-proof solution for modern HR organizations. The acquisition of Plek also lays the foundation for BCS’ broader internationalisation plans.”
Plek: Employee engagement and internal communication solutions
Founded in 2015, Plek is a SaaS company that provides a user-friendly, mobile-accessible platform for internal communication, onboarding, employee feedback, and engagement.
The software is multilingual, used in 16 countries, and designed for international scalability.
The company has a customer base of over 200 organisations across sectors such as healthcare, construction, government, and professional services.
Customer examples are MedicPlek, Rivas, Zeeman, TBI, Building Materials Netherlands, and LKQ Benelux-France.
Andy Verstelle, CEO of Plek, adds, “We are excited to join forces with BCS and take the next step in our journey. This partnership provides the scale, expertise, and strategic alignment needed to accelerate our mission to improve employee communication and engagement across organisations in Europe.”
Why the acquisition?
Plek’s services complement BCS’s HR and payroll solutions. While BCS takes care of tasks like employee administration and salary processing, Plek improves engagement and communication, making it easier for employees to interact with HR processes.
By bringing Plek into BCS, clients can experience a smooth connection between the HR systems and the employee experience, claims the company.
This makes it easier for organisations to manage workflows and communication in one place. With the acquisition of Plek, the combined BCS team now has about 220 employees.
BCS HR Software: Software specialist in Human Resource Management
BCS HR Software offers SMEs, corporate and non-profit organisations an integrated total solution HR and Payroll software.
BCS has over forty-five years of experience in providing software in areas such as payroll, time tracking, workflow management, employee scheduling, records management, learning management systems, and flexible benefits.
Joep Eijkens, CEO of BCS HR Software, says, “The acquisition of Plek fits perfectly within BCS’ long-term strategy. We continuously aim to offer innovative and high-quality HR software solutions. With Plek, we can now support our customers even better in their internal communication and engagement needs, an essential part of the employee journey. In addition, Plek’s international scalability and integration capabilities provide new opportunities for growth across our customer base.”
