Amsterdam-based Seenons, a tech platform for circular waste management, has acquired Recycling Consultants Nederland (RCN). This move aligns with Seenons’ goal of achieving a waste-free world.

Backed by an earlier investment from majority shareholder Fortino Capital, Seenons is expanding its presence in Europe. The acquisition of RCN supports the company’s efforts to strengthen its position in the Dutch market and increase its potential for expansion.

From family business to strategic partner

Recycling Consultants Nederland (RCN) is a waste advisory firm serving medium to large enterprises in the Netherlands for nearly two decades. The firm offers services in waste and material management, providing independent advice, mediation, and guidance.

Founded in 2006 by Koes de Quillettes and later joined by his children Kirsten and Robbert, RCN has developed into a family business with a committed team. The full RCN team will transition to Seenons, ensuring continuity of services.

RCN operates without ties to waste processors or collectors, a model that aligns with Seenons’ own approach. The integration of RCN is expected to combine its market knowledge and operational approach with Seenons’ digital platform, enhancing services across the food, retail, and logistics sectors.

Kirsten de Quillettes says, “After 19 years of independently serving the market with our straightforward approach, expertise, and independent advice, we are now joining forces with Seenons to meet the market’s needs in the digital domain as well. This makes the RCN–Seenons combination complementary and strong.”

Aim of the acquisition

Seenons and RCN have renewed their collaboration following a history of joint work, including a Dutch–Belgian initiative serving clients in both countries. This move allows the two firms to combine expertise and provide broader support to clients in the Netherlands and Flanders.

The acquisition comes amid changes in business waste management, marked by growing international and digital demands. Clients are seeking insights, improved operations, and workable solutions. Seenons and RCN aim to respond to these developments through their combined approach.

By integrating advice with technology, Seenons continues progress toward its mission of eliminating waste.

Joost Kamermans, CEO of Seenons, says, “We have always admired RCN’s results-driven approach. Their dedication to clients and deep knowledge of business waste aligns perfectly with our way of working. Together we can create even more impact, starting small and thinking big.”

Brief about Seenons

Founded in 2019 by Joost Kamermans and Martin Kayser, Seenons is a waste platform that connects organisations generating waste with logistics partners, processors, and reusers. The goal is to keep waste streams in circulation and prevent them from being discarded.

Through its software platform, Seenons is focusing on preventing, reducing, and reusing residual streams. Currently, it operates in several European countries, manages over 150 waste streams, and collaborates with over 200 chain partners.

In 2025, the Dutch company announced a strategic partnership with Fortino Capital and also expanded into Switzerland by acquiring CP Recycling Management, a waste management specialist. Before that, in 2024, Seenons also announced the acquisition of Waste Group Denmark.
