Last update:

Today, we’re quite happy (*smiling face*) to announce that we have appointed Akansha Srivastava as Senior Editor to Silicon Canals. As a ten-year media veteran in her native country India, she rose up the ladder at tech publication Gizbot, to eventually become the managing editor. Before that, she served as a technology writer at the International Business Times.

How did we scoop up such a catch? Just lucky, I guess ;-).

She recently followed her husband to the Netherlands, where he is working as a software engineer for our national tech pride Booking.com. In her new role as a Senior Editor, Srivastava is keen to get acquainted with the fast-rising Benelux startup scene. She’ll be based in Amsterdam, but as she is an avid traveler you might see her pop up at events across the region.

Furthermore, she is looking for interesting stories and exclusive conversations over a Dutch koffie or munt-thee.

“I’m thrilled to join Silicon Canals and with my collected wealth of experience I’m really excited to take the thriving tech website to the next level in the region,” Srivastava says.

Give her a warm welcome on Twitter or LinkedIn. Pitch her stories on [email protected].
