Netherlands-based Momants has secured €1M in pre-seed funding from strategic angel investors to advance its AI-powered conversational ticketing platform.
Founded in 2025 by Kevin Westermeijer (CEO), Mark Wiggelaar (CTO), and Jan Willem van der Meer (CSO) in Amsterdam, this represents the startup’s initial funding round.
The funding will support the company’s expansion plans as it aims to integrate with 10+ ticketing platforms and support over 100 venues and events by year-end. The platform has already onboarded over 20 clients across 5 countries before its official launch.
Industry players, including Amsterdam Dance Event, A’DAM Toren (Lookout), Tours & Tickets, and Sunrise Festival have adopted the platform. Major ticketing providers such as Weeztix, See Tickets, Convious and Priotickets have integrated Momants as a partner solution.
Boosting ticket sales through AI-driven conversations
Momants’ AI solution personalises event experiences and increases conversions by 10-30 per cent instantly whilst resolving over 90 per cent of customer inquiries.
The platform handles real-time fan inquiries, triggers up-selling opportunities, and manages customer service requests, including reissues, cancellations, and date changes in any language, 24/7. The system increases revenue per order by 50 per cent through API integrations with major ticketing platforms.
The global ticketing market continues to grow, with event organisers seeking solutions that eliminate purchasing barriers and enhance fan engagement throughout the entire event journey. Momants addresses the industry’s “one size fits all” ticketing approach by enabling direct conversations between venues and visitors.
Industry veterans unite AI expertise with ticketing know-how
The founding team brings decades of ticketing industry experience, with Van der Meer as co-founder of Paylogic and Westermeijer as co-founder of Convious. They partnered with AI and technology entrepreneur Wiggelaar to create the conversational ticketing solution.
