Amsterdam-based Sprinque, a flexible payments platform for local and cross-border B2B transactions, officially ceased operations following a decision made by its co-founders, Juan Espinosa, Manoj Tutika, and Mark Holleman, in the summer of 2024.
The Dutch company cited shifting market conditions and a tighter investment climate as core reasons behind the closure.
“The lessons learned over these past 4+ years are incredibly valuable and we are now applying them in our ways, to new ventures and projects,” says Holleman in a LinkedIn post.
However, Holleman will continue his work under the Sprinque name, offering consulting and advisory services to companies building next-gen B2B payments and credit infrastructure.
His new focus includes embedded finance, in-house credit product development, expanding lending propositions across European markets, and developing new fintechs from the ground up.
Tutika building Sunday AI
On the other hand, Tutika is already working on his next venture — Sunday AI, currently in development with a group of design partners.
According to Tutika, Sunday AI helps B2B companies, such as wholesalers, manufacturers, and logistics, eliminate manual back-office work with AI-powered, human-in-control automation.
“As a foreign founder who has had the privilege of building here in Europe, this experience has
fueled my entrepreneurial passion and deepened my interest in B2B commerce, the powerhouse of the EU economy,” shares Tutika.
“Over the past four years, working with wholesalers, manufacturers, and distributors, I’ve seen firsthand the enthusiasm to adopt new technologies and drive efficiency and growth. I’m grateful for the ecosystem that supported my journey, reinforcing my belief that Europe is a sleeping giant, awakening with a new wave of opportunity driven by startups, technology, and innovation,” he concludes.
