Amsterdam-based VirtualMetric, a company specialised in Security Data Management, has raised €2.25M in funding led by specialist cybersecurity investors TIN Capital (Netherlands) and Auriga Cyber Ventures (France).
The Dutch company will use the funds to accelerate product development, expand the go-to-market team, and support customer deployments across Europe and beyond.
“We’re scaling fast and hiring across roles to meet growing demand,” says Jimmy Wind, Co-Founder and CEO of VirtualMetric. “The telemetry challenge is global, and we’re just getting started. We’re building the foundation for the next generation of scalable, efficient, and secure cyber operations.”
Additionally, the company will use the capital to reduce SIEM costs, streamline data pipelines, and boost operational efficiency.
The company aims to tackle one of cybersecurity’s most costly bottlenecks: unmanageable telemetry.
What does VirtualMetric solve?
Organisations are collecting more security data logs, metrics, and alerts than ever before, creating a volume that is difficult to manage.
This has led to rising costs, with large enterprises spending up to $10 million annually on SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems.
Although cybersecurity budgets are increasing to combat evolving threats, they are still limited due to high telemetry costs. This means less funding is available for new detection and response innovations.
VirtualMetric: Telemetry pipeline for cybersecurity
Founded in 2011 by systems engineer Yusuf Ozturk, VirtualMetric provides performance-driven IT monitoring and log management solutions that simplify complex environments.
VirtualMetric empowers SOC teams to regain control over their telemetry environments.
Its technology enables enterprises to route, filter, and shape data with precision, extracting more value from SIEM platforms like Microsoft Sentinel while reducing ingestion volumes by up to 90% and manual effort by 60 per cent.
“We help security teams take back control,” adds Jimmy Wind. “With our solution, they can maximise SIEM performance, reduce spend, and improve detection – without being buried in noise or operational cost.”
For trusted MSSPs like Wortell Enterprise Security, the platform also enables automation and scalability, allowing service providers to onboard more clients without the need to expand their teams.
“It enables us to increase our quality of service by removing a lot of manual processing and providing better options to our customers for log ingestion”, says Maarten Goet, Chief Threat Officer at Wortell and Microsoft Regional Director and MVP.
The platform integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Data Explorer, and Azure Blob Storage, allowing logs to be intelligently routed based on relevance and criticality.
Its Write-Ahead Log (WAL) architecture ensures real-time, lossless data processing with full forensic integrity.
“Our system delivers unmatched performance, processing vast telemetry streams in seconds,” adds Yusuf Öztürk, Co-Founder and CTO of VirtualMetric.
