It is a well-known luxury problem for angel investors: you have the funds available to invest in a young and exciting startup, but how to pick the right one? And how to provide the business you invest in with the best guidance, in order to see them grow and get you that desired Return on your investment? Keadyn Angel VC has learned these lessons through lots of experience, and now they want to help fellow angels get their wings at the newfound Angel Academy.
Connect with investors and startups
The Angel Program will take flight in February 2017 and will last for ten weeks. There are twenty spaces available for angels to participate. They will get the opportunity to connect with like-minded angels and will invest in a startup together at the end of the program. 18 startups will pitch themselves throughout the ten weeks, and at the end the angels will pick which one they will invest in. This startup will then receive € 100K in funding for a pre-seed round to grow its team and its business.
The Archangels of the Academy
Keadyn Angel VC has appointed Dave Dirks, one of its main partners, to lead the Academy Program. The investment company’s other partners Ohad Gilad and Martijn Don will also actively engage in the program. In addition Keadyn has also gathered together an impressive roster of teachers. These will instruct the investors on a wide wingspan of topics like due diligence, term sheets, key metrics, and team performance. Here are some of the startup entrepreneurs, investors, and advisors that will teach at Angel Academy:
Robbert van Os (technical due diligence),
Mark Schiefelbein (metrics),
Bram Kanstein from We Are Off The Record (market strategy),
Jaap Dekter co-founder of Amsterdam Venture Partners and Helpthecrowd (finance),
Simone Rutgers from CertaLegal (tax and legal),
Pieter Schoen (Nederlandse Energie Maatschappij) and
Dennis Bruin (EVO Venture Partners, Denit).

The fee payable to Angel Academy is € 3,950 (excluding 21 % VAT), while another € 5000,00 will go the investment at the end of the program.
