Capital utilisation
The funds will support FixForms’ expansion and entry into new markets.
Jan Abeel, co-founder of FixForm, says, “With this funding, we aim to accelerate our international expansion, with active go-to-market campaigns planned for the Netherlands, the UK, and the Nordics.”
“We’re also focused on enhancing our platform by leveraging the data we collect. For example, we plan to calculate ESG, health, or building compliance scores using AI, helping us better detect risks for our customers and positioning FixForm as a comprehensive platform for building management and maintenance worldwide.”
On a mission to transform facility management
Founded in 2021 by Thomas Vanhumbeeck and Jan Abeel, FixForm offers facility maintenance by streamlining issue detection and reporting. Its mission is to maintain spaces and buildings in good, safe, and clean condition.
The company’s platform facilitates collaboration between visitors, staff, technicians, and service providers, allowing for efficient reporting and resolution of maintenance issues. Users can quickly report problems by snapping a picture.
FixForm prioritises human collaboration by enabling building occupants to report issues directly via a location-based QR code or website in under 10 seconds, without requiring an app or login.
The AI-enhanced system automatically forwards reports to the appropriate person, eliminating manual ticket creation and reducing errors.
Thomas Vanhumbeeck, CEO of FixForm, says, “Nearly half of all building issues never reach the building managers. People often don’t know who to contact, or the report gets lost. This leads to frustration on both sides.”
“FixForm bridges this gap by improving collaboration between facility managers and end users. With FixForm, building managers gain a clear, prioritised view of defects, enabling them to manage and maintain their facilities more efficiently.”
For instance, FixForm allows users to quickly report issues, like a lightbulb outage in a nursing home, by scanning a QR code, taking a photo, and submitting a description.
The relevant contact is notified instantly, and the reporter receives automatic confirmation once the issue is resolved, promoting transparency and shared responsibility. FixForm claims to have addressed over 100,000 building defects.
With a team of 11 employees, the startup operates in five countries, including the UK, Ireland, and the Czech Republic.
Its clients include nursing home groups Armonea and Careion, investment firm Buysse & Partners, real estate company Quares, AZ Maria Middelares hospital, sports stadiums for KAA Gent and Club Brugge, as well as several cities and municipalities.
