Amsterdam-based Carbon Equity, a climate venture capital and private equity investment platform, announced the final closing of €105M for its Climate Tech Portfolio Fund III from 460 investors.
Carbon Equity now manages over €300M through 9 investment funds in climate tech and infrastructure, raised from more than 1,250 investors.
Jacqueline van den Ende, CEO and Co-founder of Carbon Equity, says: “Despite the current geopolitical uncertainty, we have raised over €100M within a year for innovative climate solutions. I’m proud of that. It also confirms that the momentum for investing in climate technology continues. The energy transition is already in full swing — not driven by idealism, but simply because sustainable solutions are economically smarter.”
The Dutch VC launched Climate Tech Portfolio Fund III, last year with a maximum target of €200M.
With Climate Tech Portfolio Fund III, investors can invest in at least 150 leading climate innovations, ranging from green hydrogen and CO2-free cement to iron-air batteries and new-generation proteins, through 7 to 10 selected private equity and venture capital funds.
