Cologne, Germany-based Circonomit, a developer of an intuitive modelling toolbox, has secured €2.8M in a seed funding round led by Vorwerk Ventures, alongside Fund F and PUSH VC.
Based out of Berlin, Vorwerk Ventures is an independent venture capital fund (in its 4th fund generation) from Germany with assets under management of over €400M. We are supporting startups that drive meaningful change for people and the planet.
The VC focuses on the Consumer, Food, Health, and Climate sectors.
“Only companies that master their information and decision flows stay competitive,” emphasises Marie-Sophie Ando, Senior Investment Manager at Vorwerk Ventures. “We believe Circonomit’s flexible modelling toolbox has the potential to become a leading provider of data-driven decision support.”
Fund utilisation
The German company will use the fresh capital to expand its product team and accelerate market penetration.
The company’s goal is to give manufacturing companies faster, deeper insights into their value chains and operations, strengthening Germany’s overall competitiveness.
“As a team, we’re thrilled to create massive value by translating market fluctuations and internal events into actionable management metrics,” says Dana Aleff, co-founder of Circonomit. “Our modelling platform lets anyone build their strategic companion and visualise relationships across their value chain. Scenario planning and rolling forecasts are just one application.”
Circonomit: Building the “Company Brain”
Founded by Dana Aleff and Erik Müller, Circonomit‘s user-friendly modelling toolbox enables businesses to understand, calculate, and control complex relationships, first bringing the technology to market in 2024.
The German company helps businesses understand complex relationships and respond quickly when performance doesn’t match their plans.
Executives can easily assess the financial and environmental effects of their choices. What used to take years of data work now only takes weeks, claims Circonomit.
Unlike technologies such as process mining, Circonomit’s models work without requiring log data from existing systems.
As a result, it significantly lowers barriers to adoption, especially important given the master data digitisation gaps that many companies still face.
