Investing is a great practice to keep your wealth growing and there are numerous ways to do this. One of the easiest methods is to invest via an app, which makes the whole process a lot easier. The Amsterdam-based startup BUX realised the need for a well-rounded app that offers lucrative investment opportunities and thus offers BUX Zero, a commission-free investing app. After a successful launch in the Netherlands, France, Germany and Austria, the company has launched BUX Zero in Belgium.

First commission-free investment platform in Belgium

With this launch, BUX Zero became the first commission-free investment platform in Belgium. This is the fifth country BUX is expanding its services to since it initially launched in the Netherlands, in September 2019.ย

โ€œWe are looking forward to being able to provide all Belgians the option to invest commission-free for the first time. We strongly believe that being able to offer this option allows a whole new generation to take part in investing,โ€ says Nick Bortot, Founder and CEO, BUX. โ€œWeโ€™re proud of the work weโ€™ve done to lower the barriers of entry with BUX Zero. In addition to making cost a smaller obstacle, weโ€™ve also stripped away the complexity of investing by making the experience of buying and selling shares as simple and easy-to-understand as possible.โ€

BUX was founded back in 2014 by Nick Bortot in Amsterdam and it aims to make it easy and affordable for users to do more with their hard-earned money. Since its launch, the company has made the market accessible to over 2.5 million users across 9 countries in Europe. It is backed by Holtzbrinck Ventures, Velocity Capital, Finch Capital and Initial Capital.ย

Last April, the company announced BUX Crypto, a platform that allows users to trade cryptocurrencies easily and commission-free. It also offers BUX X, which was launched in 2014. The app o๏ฌ€ers short-term, leveraged trading, all powered by a vibrant in-app community.

BUX Zero updates to better the investor’s experience

Alongside expansion to a new country, BUX Zero is also getting some new feature upgrades to enhance the trading experience. Expanding the options for investing, ETFs (exchange traded funds) is now available for all BUX Zero users across all five regions. Since a large portion of  long-term investing is done via ETFs, it is expected to be a great passive investment management tool for those who are looking into creating an easy and inexpensive way of building their portfolios.

โ€œFollowing this initial batch, BUX Zero will spend the coming quarters adding a larger selection of additional ETFs as well as shares. In the coming months, BUX will be introducing further features in the BUX Zero app to further enhance the investing experience for users across Europe.โ€ BUXโ€™s media release reads.ย
