Precure, an Allinge, Denmark-based company working on the development of a wearable device for the health industry, secured a capital investment of $500K (approx €456K). The round was led by Sparekassen Bornholm Fond’s subsidiary Sparbo Finans, Bornholm’s Business Foundation, and a private investor.
The Danish company intends to use this funding to initiate collaboration with business partners, help more companies avoid strain related musculoskeletal disorders. Part of the investment will be used for expansion purposes in Germany and the United States.
Precure develops smart wearable IoT devices, which analyse muscular activity and provide biofeedback using machine learning. The user will change behaviour, hence experience less pain, recover faster, and avoid further injuries.
This has a positive impact on people’s quality of life, adds cost and time efficiencies to companies, and it enables more effective and efficient treatment.
The smart wearable company was founded in 2016 by Carsten Scheibye, Finn Bech Andersen, Jønne Marcher, and Søren Würtz. With this platform, Precure aims to help people and companies avoid the pain and consequences of Musculoskeletal Disorder (MSD).
