SendCloud, one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe, announces its entry into the Spanish market with its all in one shipping software for e-commerce.Â
The Dutch scale-up has now closed a multimillion euro investment from leading Spanish venture capital firm Bonsai Partners and its current lead investors BOM and henQ in order to bring a solution to a recurring issue in the Spanish shipping market.Â
A problem-free shipping and returns process
Shipping is still the biggest hassle for Spanish online retailers. Sendcloud’s platform offers an innovative solution to save time and costs, delight customers and facilitate cross-border logistics. Through a single interface and without additional cost, online retailers can connect to carriers such as Correos, Correos Express, GLS and 20 other global carriers and their different shipping methods. This streamlined process reduces the cost of shipping for all online stores and helps them to meet consumers’ demands, enabling them to compete with larger e-tailers on a global scale.
Helping Spanish SMEs to compete online
Rob van den Heuvel, CEO of SendCloud:
The e-commerce industry is growing exponentially with consumers expecting even higher service levels when it comes to shipping. In order to compete, online retailers need to achieve the standards set by major ecommerce companies. Adding up the costs of logistics within e-commerce, which is on average over 20 percent of the total revenue and you can see how it might be difficult for retailers to compete on a global scale. By providing a smart and cost efficient e-shipping solution that relies on a big network of European carriers, we’re leveling the playing field for retailers and allowing them to provide a first class service to consumers. We’re excited to make our debut in Spain.
Andrés de la Morena, Partner at Bonsai Partners, said:
Shipping is a key feature for online retailers and partnering with SendCloud enables them to provide a customer experience similar to leading global ecommerce players. We are confident SendCloud has what it takes to become a European leader in its space given their impressive software platform, preferrential carrier agreements and international reach.
