London-based Arbolus, an expert insights platform, has secured a $20M (nearly €18.90M) growth equity funding. The round was led by Kayne Anderson Partners Fund V and sub-advised by Composition Capital, a growth-stage tech investor.
This funding will support Arbolus in strengthening its position in the expert insights sector, with a focus on digitising human knowledge and making it more accessible.
Vlad Malugin of Composition, says, “The investment research space has seen an uptick in high-profile deals and we see this as a great leading indicator for Arbolus.”
“This investment underscores our confidence in Arbolus’s vision, their exceptional team, and their ability to drive meaningful impact by making expert insights more accessible and actionable for companies worldwide.”
Network for investors and consultants seeking information advantage
Founded in 2018 by Sam Glasswell and Will Leeming, Arbolus aims to digitise human knowledge to make it more accessible.
The company offers a multi-product approach that allows clients to access bespoke, attributable insights through tools like Arbolus Canopy – an asynchronous video Q&A tool, Arbolus Insights – a database of B2B customers, and run surveys with previously hard-to-reach B2B audiences.
Since its last funding round, Arbolus has more than doubled its revenue, expanded its team to 180, and seen growing demand, particularly due to Canopy’s success.
Leon Chen of Composition, says, “We are thrilled to partner with Arbolus at this pivotal stage in their growth and at such an opportune moment in this industry. As long users of expert networks ourselves, Arbolus’s differentiated and disruptive approach to a critical – but legacy – industry, supported by consistent growth, validates the strength of their offering.”
Capital utilisation
Arbolus will use the funds to further expand its US operations, develop new products, and continue disrupting the expert network industry.
Sam Glasswell, CEO and co-founder of Arbolus says, “Over the past two years, Arbolus has seen exceptional growth in a challenging deals market. This has been driven by a relentless focus on understanding our customers’ needs and developing innovative products to address them.”
“Our video Q&A tool, Canopy, continues to grow in popularity and we’re excited to see this complemented by Arbolus Insights next year and beyond. We are excited to partner with the team at Kayne and Composition to build the industry-leading expert insights platform.”
