Jyväskylä-based Clevenio, a Finnish sales engagement software startup, has closed its pre-seed funding round. The amount, however, remains undisclosed.
The company aims to tackle a challenge faced by sales teams: the excessive amount of time spent on tasks that aren’t directly related to selling.
The round was led by Gorilla Capital, with significant participation from Sofokus Ventures.
Teemu Malinen, founder and CEO of Sofokus Ventures, says, “Now that the market is starting to be oversupplied in terms of content marketing, the efficiency of sales operations is getting more and more important. We invested in Clevenio because they have a new kind of solution for making salespeople’s day-to-day work more efficient.”
Capital utilisation
After securing its pre-seed round, Clevenio is focused on building an internationally competitive solution tailored to enhance the efficiency of B2B sales teams.
This capital will allow Clevenio to accelerate the development of its product, making it ready for larger markets and expanding its impact on a global scale.

Clevenio has found a major pain point for B2B sales teams and is building a solution that could greatly impact how B2B sales are conducted. This is something we are excited to be a part of.”
CEO Aleksi Halsas, says, “We have already seen locally that our approach to sales can more than double the results compared to traditional sales software tools. Our automated data and research products, combined with outreach functionalities, are already delivering great results in the Nordics. We are excited to start building these capabilities for larger markets as well.”
Building a sales machine
According to a LinkedIn post by Clevenio, recent studies have shown that B2B sales representatives spend over 70 per cent of their time on non-selling activities, such as list building and researching target accounts.
Led by CEO Aleksi Halsas, Clevenio’s software reduces the time required for these tasks, enabling sales reps to spend up to three times more time on actual selling.
Since its inception, the startup has helped over 120 clients optimise their sales processes.
