The French music streaming service Deezer has announced to become the official music streaming partner of the ninth season of ‘The voice of Holland’, the most popular music talent show in the Netherlands that showcases undiscovered new talent.  Starting on November 2nd at 8:30 pm at RTL 4, fans will be able to watch the first episode of season 9 and use an online voting system to vote on songs on Deezer. The winning song will be performed during the final live show of ‘The voice of Holland’.

Further, the fans will find new music from the show’s contestants on Deezer, including exclusive content from the show, such as interviews and playlists from the performers. Music fans can also get to know the 55 contestants, who passed the blind audition with an individual playlist featuring ten of their favourite songs.

“Deezer is making it even easier for ‘The voice of Holland’-fans to listen and follow all their favourite talented participants. Fans can also access interviews and curated playlists, bringing them even closer to their new favourite artists”, said Golan Shaked, Chief Commercial Officer, Deezer.

“By integrating Deezer into our digital channels, we’ve found a partner that enables fans to listen to music by their favourite talents from ‘The voice of Holland’ anywhere and everywhere they want. Together we attend to the needs of our fans and create a platform for music, talents and music-lovers alike,” says Ton Rozestraten, Chief Commercial Officer RTL Nederland

Connecting through content and interaction

During its partnership with the 9th season of ‘The voice of Holland’ Season Nine (November 2, 2018 – February 22, 2019), Deezer will focus increasingly on creating and sharing relevant content for ‘The voice of Holland’ fans.

The new season starts on November 2 with the Blind Auditions, in which jury members press a red button to see the talent who is performing during these first episodes and to express they want to have the talent in their team. All the content from these episodes will be available exclusively via Deezer and The voice of Holland.

The playlists curated by the performers will be made available during the “Battles”, in which the artists compete head to head, starting December 21. Before the live shows start (February 1), Deezer will launch twelve interviews with the remaining performers, in which they each talk in depth about a track from their playlists during a special podcast-like interview, available exclusively on Deezer.

The first episode of season nine airs November 2 at 8:30 p.m. on RTL4.

For the uninitiated, this year, Deezer was in news, a couple of months ago, when the music streaming startup was set to accelerate its growth following a capital increase of €160 million from new and existing investors. The French company connects 14 million monthly active users around the world to 53 million tracks. Available in over 180 countries worldwide, Deezer claims to give instant access to one of the largest and most diverse global music streaming catalogue on any device.
