Dutch energy company GIGA Storage appoints Kevin Dijkers as new CEO and Animesh Ranjan as CIO

Amstelveen-based GIGA Storage, an energy company that develops and deploys large-scale energy storage projects, announced the promotions of Kevin Dijkers to new CEO and Animesh Ranjan to Chief Investment Officer.

Kevin Dijkers, says, “I am thrilled by the challenges and opportunities ahead and am fully committed to driving the company’s continued growth. I recognise the big shoes I’m stepping into, and I will do my utmost to meet and exceed expectations!”

They will work closely with Maarten Quist, COO, and co-founder, and Martin Heerma, CFO, who remain on the Management Board.

Ruud Nijs, former CEO and one of the founding partners of GIGA Storage will transition to a new role as a member of the Supervisory Board.

Consequently, he will continue to contribute to the company’s success, sharing his extensive expertise in the energy transition and finance industry.

Currently, the company is in its next development phase, focusing on building and operating BESS utility-scale projects in Benelux.

In addition, the Management Board will continue to be supported by Mel Kroon, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Mel brings years of experience in the industry, notably as former CEO of Tennet and with multiple chairman positions.
