Former General Counsel of UiPath, Vasile Tiple announced on Wednesday that he has launched a legal infrastructure platform, Goodlegal. The product launch was announced alongside a €1.2M pre-Seed funding round.
The investment was led by the early UiPath investors Earlybird Digital East Fund. Credo Ventures together with Daniel Dines and the latest CEE VC fund, Underline Ventures also participated in this round.
Goodlegal aims to give businesses an “out-of-the-box” legal operations framework that will help them comply with the law by utilising technology and industry-recognised content.
Tiple says, “We are starting our journey to reinvent legal and help our customers to focus on their business, develop great products and become self-sufficient with Goodlegal infrastructure. Our mission is to make legal easy, accessible, and actionable.”
“One-stop-shop for all your Legal needs”
Currently, there is no platform that can offer the prebuilt legal framework necessary for a company’s everyday operations. According to Goodlegal, the entire legal tech market was built around very specific features without considering the bigger picture of what a company might need to be legally compliant.
Even the end-user legal market went in two opposite directions: on the one hand, tools were developed for outside attorneys, and on the other, tools were developed for in-house attorneys. By attending to the requirements of both law firms and in-house attorneys, Goodlegal is addressing both of these anomalies in the legal industry.
Goodlegal claims to be a one-stop-shop for legal compliance which aims to democratise legal by providing individuals and organisations with a legal infrastructure platform to drive frictionless engagement with the stakeholders.
It provides a variety of functionalities, including a drag-and-drop document builder, pre-built documents, an editor, text analysis, e-signature, automation functionalities, and integrations, enabling every organisation to quickly establish a solid framework for legal compliance and business operations.
Vasile Tiple says, ”We aim for Goodlegal to become the industry-accepted <legal operating system>, a standard blueprint for how to put your legal infrastructure in place. Our immediate goal is to be the go-to legal platform for all startups and help them freely achieve the next stage in their company evolution, while medium and long-term goals include large enterprises for which we are developing various integrations, creating a Goodlegal ecosystem for any company irrespective of its size or industry.”
