Multiple Google services – Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive, Google Docs, Maps, Adwords and Adsense, and Google Pay – experienced outages. However, Google was working, but with a slight lag. Currently, the services are back online.

Reports of the outage poured in from different parts of the world including Europe, the US, India, Australia, and other parts of the world. Google hasn’t commented yet on the reason behind the outage. Youtube, however, has tweeted regarding this issue. Notably, some users reported that Youtube was working in incognito mode.

According to Downdetector, the outage began at 12:30 PM CET.  We will update this story as soon as we get more information.

Update:

The tech giant has confirmed the outage and in a statement, it mentions, “We’re aware of a problem with Gmail affecting a majority of users. The affected users are unable to access Gmail.”

“Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better,” the company adds.
