Last update:

Insight Partners, a New York-based venture capital and private equity firm, has announced the closing of its thirteenth flagship fund, along with a buyout co-invest fund, known as “Fund XIII”, and a structured equity fund, Opportunities Fund II, totalling $12.5B (approximately €12.15B).

These funds aim to support software companies globally at various growth stages.

Backed by “strong” investor support, including significant contributions from Insight’s employees, the firm’s regulatory assets under management now exceed $90B. This milestone highlights Insight’s 30-year commitment to scaling transformative software businesses.

What to expect from the funds?

Insight’s flagship funds, including Fund XIII, typically invest between $5M and $500+M in a company, with the ability to invest from the earliest institutional check to IPO.

The Opportunities Fund provides structured equity investments to support growth and strengthen finances, offering flexible funding for software companies globally.

These investment vehicles allow Insight to meet software companies across the globe at any stage of their growth journey, with flexible financing solutions.

Jeff Horing, co-founder and Managing Director at Insight Partners, says, “For 30 years, Insight Partners has been more than an investor—we have been a partner to software leaders, helping them scale transformative ideas into global powerhouses.”

“Fund XIII is a testament to the trust we’ve built with our founders, Limited Partners, and team. As we celebrate this milestone, we remain focused on shaping the next era of innovation and growth in the software industry.”

Insight Partners marks three decades of software investing

Insight Partners celebrates its latest fund closings as a testament to three decades of fostering strong investor partnerships. Since 1995, the firm has taken a bold approach to software investing, focusing on scaling through partnerships rather than transactions.

Through Insight Onsite, its comprehensive growth engine, the firm provides hands-on operational support, from go-to-market strategies to global expansion, tailored to each stage of a company’s growth.

Insight Partners’ fundraising underscores its commitment to innovation and growth, following $8B in exits over the past year, including sales to Mastercard, Salesforce, and SAP. The firm aims to continue supporting software leaders and driving strong outcomes for the next 30 years.

Deven Parekh, Managing Director at Insight Partners, says, “Fund XIII and Opportunities Fund II represent our unwavering belief in the power of software to transform industries and lives.”

“These funds not only solidify our position as a global leader in software investing but also reflect our commitment to supporting founders with flexible capital, operational expertise, and enduring partnerships. We are grateful to our Limited Partners for their long-standing support of our vision.”

“Looking ahead, we are excited to build on 30 years of success, continue to expand our presence in global markets, and drive innovation across the software ecosystem.”
