The Hague-based Invest International, an impact investor, has appointed Melanie Maas Geesteranus as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective this week.
In this position, she will be responsible for overseeing the organisation’s strategy and operations, with a focus on supporting Dutch businesses in their international activities.
“This is important for our competitive position in these times of economic and geopolitical uncertainty,” she states. “Dutch companies are leaders in areas such as water management, sustainable agriculture, medical technology, and the energy transition. They have everything it takes to make a global impact. But we must give them the space and support to grow.”
