Smart home devices are everywhere and the number is increasing by the minute. The reason for the popularity of these devices is the great level of convenience that these offer to users. Understanding this, several startups have started coming up with smart home devices and related platforms. One such startup is Ireland-based Sweepr.

Founded in 2017 in Dublin by Alan Coleman, Sweepr imagines a world where people are surrounded by technology and ample options to embrace and troubleshoot the same effortlessly. This is possible with the integration of Artificial Intelligence and voice assistance.

Ropes in Amazon Alexa Fund

Back in October 2019, Sweepr raised $9 million (nearly €8.2 million) Series A funding led by Draper Espirit along with support from Frontline, a seed investor. Now, the company has announced that Amazon Alexa Fund has joined its Series A funding round as a strategic investor.

With the backing of Amazon Alexa Fund, Sweepr will have access to the latest developments in both voice technology and smart devices. It can realise more than this as well as Amazon announced an alliance with Google and Apple recently.

Well, many love to use Alexa to control their connected devices and this is where Sweepr aims to bring about a difference by providing a simpler and more convenient smart home experience.

What does Sweepr do?

Dublin-based Sweepr is a contextually adaptive technical support platform meant for connected homes. The platform lets consumer service providers and manufacturers of connected products to transform the way they offer technical support. This way, they will be able to enable customers to resolve issues without the necessity to call customer care.

Sweepr collects digital context to each consumer support request and makes the same automatically available based on the content so that it can provide relevant, customized and specific support. This is delivered via photographs, instructions, and videos that are easy-to-understand and are targeted towards users.
