Round2 Capital, a pan-European software lending firm, has facilitated the sale of all shares in its portfolio company, DRACOON, through a definitive agreement with Kiteworks.
Kiteworks, a US-based cybersecurity platform provider founded in 1999, offers file sharing, managed file transfer, and email data communications with a focus on meeting compliance standards.
Active globally, Kiteworks empowers organisations to manage risk effectively in the exchange and storage of sensitive content.
This move is part of Kiteworks’ expansion into the DACH markets.
Round2 Capital emerged as a major shareholder in DRACOON through its investment from the fund and a co-investment with Round2 LPs.
What does DRACOON offer?
Founded in 2012, DRACOON is a German software provider that specialises in secure data and file exchange on local infrastructure. The platform offers highly secure, platform-independent file exchange software in both public cloud and on-premises versions.
With over 500,000 users globally, including companies like Deutsche Bahn, Telekom, and Thyssenkrupp, DRACOON claims to have become a leading cybersecurity company.
