Berlin-based Linearity, a software company, announced on Monday that it has launched Linearity Move, a new motion graphics tool.

Linearity Move enables businesses to produce high-quality animated social media content in-house, saving time and money and overcoming traditional barriers.

The German company says it aims to balance the simplicity of tools like Canva and the complexity of Adobe’s offerings.

The software tool, compatible with Mac and iPad, simplifies the transformation of non-engaging, static design assets into dynamic motion graphics and vector illustrations into animations.

Linearity Move provides a versatile solution for businesses to create or import marketing assets from platforms such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Linearity Curve, saving time and effort.

The latest tool comes equipped with a tool called ‘Auto Animate.’ It allows users to transform static artboards into animated videos, potentially slashing costs by 90 per cent and quadrupling production speed.

Using Linearity Curve, the company’s vector design tool, designers can evolve static designs into animations within the same ecosystem or begin with storyboards from any graphics design software.

They can further tweak their designs directly within Linearity Move without a separate tool.

Vladimir Danila, CEO and co-founder of Linearity, says, “Linearity Move is our response to a paradigm shift in motion graphics over two decades. All the current tools for designers to create motion graphics are either too basic to be useful or too complicated to be practical. There are no tools that enable the effortless animation of all design assets to tell a story seamlessly.”

“Linearity Move aims to fill that gap. It’s made to be easy for anyone to use and helps bring their narratives to life with the latest tech. We’re excited to be part of the next chapter in motion graphics where creating stunning animations is accessible to all,” says Danila.

Linearity: Making professional digital design accessible to everyone

Vladimir Danila founded Linearity in 2017 to tackle the frustrating experience of digital designing. Currently, the company’s products include Linearity Curve and Linearity Move, tailored for marketing professionals and enthusiasts.

Christoffer Englund, Art Director at Yadi Yada, says, “Animating in Adobe After Effects feels like doing math compared to Linearity Move.”

Kara Bernbeck, Designer, and Artist, says, “With Linearity Move, I was able to animate my first illustration in less than 40 minutes without checking any learning materials. It’s easy to use, and the integration with Linearity Curve helped.”

Nastya Kuliábina, Marketer and Product Designer, says, “I’ve found Linearity Move’s ‘Auto Animate’ feature not only incredibly powerful but also user-friendly. Its intuitive interface simplifies the learning process, making it easy for anyone to start animating right away.”
