This London-based online clinic for men closes €11M Series A funding round; looks to expand operations

On average, men pay less attention to their health than women. And, men are susceptible to cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, stroke, depression, among others. In the case of any such issue, regular checkups and screening are essential to treat the medical condition. However, men are more likely to not see a doctor for regular checkups. This is where a London-based digital health company Numan plays a role by helping men get the right treatment.

Secures Series A funding

The online health clinic for men, Numan has just secured £10M (nearly €11M) Series A funding in a round led by Novator along with Anthemis Exponential, Colle Capital, and Vostok New Ventures. The digital clinic will continue to build the future of health in collaboration with its customers.

In addition to this, Birgir Már Ragnarsson joins Numan as one of the board of directors. The company intends to use the funding to invest in technology and expand operations. It also plans to grow its team.

Men’s healthcare is more accessible

Founded in early 2019 by Sokratis Papafloratos, Numan was developed to help men take the right action when it comes to their health and wellbeing. This company’s mission is to make men’s healthcare more accessible.

The company started as a platform offering solutions around erectile dysfunction and hair loss.

The digital healthcare startup gives men simple solutions and helps them understand their health better via a series of clinician and diagnostic consultations. And, it provides them with solutions and treatments to sexual health, smoking cessation, hair loss, and general wellbeing.

During the COVID-19 crisis, Numan has been motivating men to take better care of their health. It lets them look forward to progress into a holistic health partner. 18 months after launch, it expanded into premature ejaculation and smoking cessation, alongside a suite of diagnostic blood tests, doctor consultations, and a range of personalised supplements.

How’s it different?

Numan provides free online healthcare consultations that are no more uncomfortable. Also, there is no need to wait for long in the waiting rooms as the consultations are quick. The clinicians will provide the assessment on the same day, usually within an hour. Also, there are personalised treatment plans and continuous health support.
