On Thursday, London-based Zelt, an all-in-one people operations software, announced that it has raised $6M (approximately €5.7M) in a funding round led by Nauta, with participation from Venrex and Episode 1.
Nauta is a pan-European venture capital firm investing in early-stage B2B software companies with offices in London and Barcelona. With over half a billion assets under management, Nauta is one of Europe’s largest B2B-focused VCs.
“Zelt enables a more modern approach to people operations and offers a seamless way to save time and money. Many mid-market companies are looking for all-in-one solutions now and we’re excited to watch Zelt go after this opportunity. The team has achieved some very impressive milestones already and Nauta is delighted to be backing them,” says Carles Ferrer, General Partner at Nauta.
The company will use the funds to further develop the product and cement its position as a global leader in this category.
“2024 was an excellent year for Zelt as we launched our new Growth module, onboarded our first 1,000+ headcount organisation, and closed a new round of funding that will enable us to invest even more into building the best product available in the market,” Chris Priebe, Founder and CEO at Zelt.
Zelt: Managing HR, Finance & IT from a single platform
Founded in 2020 by Chris Priebe and Polina Vorms, Zelt allows companies to manage their workforce across the lifecycle efficiently.
By combining HR, Finance, and IT into one system, managers can easily see an overview of their teams at every stage.
Employees can also access information and services themselves more than they could before.
The platform uses an employee database, allowing customers to add a range of modules that work together. This helps them create workflows and automate tasks like onboarding new employees and managing payroll.
The company’s platform aims to reduce the time employees and employers spend managing multiple vendors and repeating manual tasks associated with people’s operations activities.
The platform is trusted by over 150 customers including Shakespeare’s Globe, Club L, and Mumsnet.
Through its core offering, the company’s customers can manage diverse areas of people ops such as payroll, expenses, device security, goal tracking and holiday bookings.
With automation and employee self-service at its core, Zelt reduces the administrative burden for employers and managers. Alongside time savings, Zelt’s customers can reduce their related software spend by up to 50 per cent.
