Last update:

Mindler, Sweden’s largest digital service for mental health, has raised €8 million to meet the increasing demand for psychology services and accelerate its international growth. The Series A round was led by Ventech and co-led by Schibsted Growth.

Existing investors BackInBlack, Luminar Venture, and Kichi Invest reaffirmed their commitment to Mindler’s growth by joining Ventech and Schibsted Growth in the startup’s €8 million series A round.

Rickard Lagerqvist, CEO and Founder of Mindler:

“Each cent invested will go to provide more access to even better mental health care. We will now accelerate our efforts to simplify processes, reach more patients, and further develop our treatment platform.”

Initially, Rickard Lagerqvist, Rickard Färdig, and Johannes Hatem noted that too few Swedes sought treatment for mental health issues and those who did tend to do it too late.

In 2018, they founded Mindler to tackle this challenge by providing all Swedes the opportunity to see a psychologist online.

Tero Mennander, General Partner at Ventech:

“Mindler’s rapid growth and traction prove the need for specialized digital psychology services today. Ventech is excited to partner with Mindler to accelerate international growth, providing more Europeans with access to quality mental health care.”

Today, armed with €8 million in series A funding and 250 employees across Sweden and the Netherlands, this digital platform is looking for its next European market.

Headquartered in Stockholm, Mindler’s 200+ psychologists provide leading-edge psychological expertise and treatment to patients in Sweden and the Netherlands.

Kajsa Gatenbeck, Investment Manager at Schibsted Growth:

“We believe Mindler has what it takes to impact patients’ mental health for the better fundamentally. With a fully digitised patient journey, Mindler has the potential to increase quality, effectiveness, and access to mental healthcare for patients. With Mindler, hopefully, even more, people will get not only the help they need but also better care.”
