Berlin-based Atlantic Labs and FoodLabs, both European early stage tech and foodtech investors, announced on Wednesday that they have launched “Founders for Climate”, the first European climatetech Entrepreneur In Residence (EIR) programme.
With full assistance from Atlantic Labs and FoodLabs, EIRs participating in the programme will be able to investigate and evaluate their climatetech business concept to create their own enterprise.
What does the EIR programme offer?
The programme aims to incubate the smartest and brightest founders with the vision to create tech businesses that combat climate change. The programme is aimed at entrepreneurs who are beginning to develop a climatetech firm, or scientists or engineers who have an idea for a climatetech solution, even if they have no prior experience as entrepreneurs.
Christophe F. Maire, Founding Partner at Atlantic Labs and FoodLabs, says, “We strongly believe that entrepreneurs will bring solutions to one of the biggest issues today: the climate crisis. With our new ClimateTech EIR programme, we encourage entrepreneurial, scientific and technical talent to build companies that really matter and that have a positive impact.”
