Right now, when the energy transition is underway, there are fluctuations in the energy supply and demand, and energy storage has a major role to play in regulating the same. With an increase in local energy generation and temporary use of energy, Skoon Energy’s Skoonbox will ensure to accelerate the energy transition on land, where users depend on decentralised energy.
Founded by Peter Paul van Voorst tot Voorst and Daan Geldermans in 2017, the Dutch startup Skoon operates with the mission to accelerate the energy transition by creating a network of versatile swappable batteries that let users share, rent, and lease batteries. The focus of this company is to build a trusted community for businesses to discover, offer, and book energy storage for mobile and temporary applications.
Launches Skoon Cloud!
At a program, Skoon founders and Kees Koolen (Koolen Industries), Alderman Barbara Kathmann (Municipality of Rotterdam) and Reinier van Herel (Damen Shipyards) pitched their vision on the significance of energy transition and the economic impact on the society.
Recently, Skoon Energy has launched Skoon Cloud, which is the world’s first online platform meant for battery sharing. The company has also unveiled a special battery trailer. The Skoon team has developed the plug and play mobile energy source for small applications.
