Recently, the French government under Emmanuel Macron has announced a program by investing $1.8 billion into AI over the next four years. The government wants to start it with the healthcare sector, where it aims to make a personalized care using AI and Big data.

In this regard, we have jotted down the fresh list of six startups in Artificial Intelligence-based out of France that is leading the race in the year 2018.

It’s worth mentioning that these startups come from different backgrounds including Social media, marketing, Data analytics, Virtual assistant and much more.

#1 Shift technology

Founded by David Durrleman, Eric Sibony and Jeremy Jawish in 2014, Shift technology works in providing Saas solution to insurance companies in an attempt to improve fraud detection. The company has raised around €36.8 million so far to develop AI-based insurance fraud detection service. Headquartered in Paris, the company, has opened offices in Tokyo and New York.

#2 Prophesee

Prophesee develops the patented neuromorphic vision systems that introduce a new computer vision paradigm based on how the human eye and brain work to dramatically improve the efficiency and intelligence of video processing. The company’s main aim is to launch a radical paradigm shift in vision sensing and processing across all fields of machine vision. Founded by Bernard Gilly, Christoph Posch, Ryad Benosman in 2014, this bio-inspired computer vision solutions has raised around €34  million to develop its technology.

#3 Tinyclues

Founded in 2010 by David Bessis and Jakob Haesler, Tinyclues offers an AI-driven campaign marketing solution to B2C companies using deep learning technology. With this solution, one can directly apply their campaign ideas and goals, where it develops the best course in a few minutes. As of now, the company has raised around €23.1 million to develop the solution. The company operated in 10 countries and recently expanded to North America as well.

#4 Linkfluence

Linkfluence offers a tool that analyzes conversations on social networks to create business opportunities for brands. It’s worth mentioning that, the Radarly Product Suite (SaaS), which is multilingual collects all the relevant social media conversations around brands and provides actionable insights applicable across the organization. The Radarly offers a solution to detect potential crises, engage with key influencers, and much more. The company was founded by Guilhem Fouetillou in 2006 and has raised around €22.2 million to develop the tool.

#5 Snips

Founded by Mael Primet, Michael Fester, and Rand Hindi in 2013, Snips is an AI voice platform for connected devices, which enables manufacturers and companies to add a voice assistant to their products. As per the company, Snips performs as good as Amazon’s Alexa or Google’s Assistant. Headquartered in Paris, the company has raised around €22.5 million to develop the AI voice assistant.

#6 Saagie

Saagie is a platform to extract and refine your data, to build and run AI-based applications in a secure and safe structure. This platform is mostly used by banks and insurance companies for fraud detection and much more activities. Founded by Arnaud Muller in 2013, Saagie has raised around €10.1 million to develop the platform for corporates.
