In a recent development, EIT Digital Accelerator portfolio scaleup, Apinauten GmbH, maker of the ApiOmat platform have merged their cloud business with EASY Enterprise Services GmbH, a subsidiary for cloud solutions of EASY SOFTWARE AG. As per the official announcement, the merger will not only create synergies but also drive the future development of the platform ApiOmat, as well as the national and international market expansion.

The ApiOmat software platform enables companies to quickly develop and integrate digital services for their customers, employees and partners while EASY SOFTWARE AG has a vast experience in the integration of ERP systems and business process expertise. Together, the two companies will form the EASY Apinauten GmbH.

In 2017, ApiOmat also won the first prize in the EIT Digital Challenge’s category Digital Infrastructure and joined  Europe’s leading accelerator shortly after.

For the starters, EIT Digital Accelerator provides tailor-made growth support for European tech scaleups by helping secure international customers and raise capital. The accelerator team comprises of around 30 experienced business developers and finance experts operating from 15 cities across Europe, along with a hub in Silicon Valley.

“After successfully founding ApiOmat and developing a dynamic and attractive customer base, new opportunities arise by joining a well-established company that is recognized in the market like EASY SOFTWARE AG. Above all, the integrations to existing systems and the process know-how from EASY create unique competitive advantages for us moving forward,” said Marcel Etzel, CEO, Apinauten GmbH in the official company press release.

For those who are interested to know more about the scaleup, here we have listed three important things to know about the platform.

Apiomat: Achieved considerable success

Founded by Marcel Etzel, it all started with five mobile professionals in Jena, before they moved their headquarters to Leipzig in 2013. At present, the ApiOmat employs around 45 people and has achieved considerable success. Notably, in 2018, the international IT analyst Gartner listed the platform for the first time in the renowned report, Gartner Magic Quadrant for “Mobile App Development Platforms.”

Changes with the new merger!

The ApiOmat founders will remain in management roles and as shareholders in the newly formed company. From the EASY SOFTWARE AG, Marcel Rosenbaum will actively support the merger as Product Managing Director. The current location in Leipzig will remain fully operational as experts for the ApiOmat product and will continue to expand in the future. For existing ApiOmat customers and partners, nothing will change except for the new company name, EASY Apinauten GmbH.

Faster, better and more versatile

According to Etzel, the ApiOmat’s functionality will become even more versatile, above all with Low Code tools, the provisioning and development of microservices, the use of artificial intelligence and the integration possibilities to existing systems. He also noted, “With the Easy Software AG as a strong partner at our side, we can reach our goals for the digitalisation platform “ApiOmat” faster.”
