Founded by Emile Nijssen and Stefan Witkamp in 2014, the company  created Homey, a smart home product which combines all wireless and smart devices at home into a single, easy-to-use and smart system.

Launches in Germany and Switzerland!

In a recent development, Athom has announced the launch of Homey in Germany and Switzerland. According to the company, starting April 8th, Homey will be available at Media Markt and Saturn in Germany, as well as at Interdiscount in Switzerland.

Automate your home with Flow!

With a free app available on Android and iOS, users can receive notifications from sensors or doorbells, and control lights, locks, alarm systems and thermostats, wherever they are. Apart from the Netherlands, the company also operates in various European countries including Belgium, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

German friendly!

In addition to the online store, Homey will be available in selected physical stores all across Germany and Switzerland. In an attempt to make it German friendly, both Homey and the Homey app have been translated to the German language. Furthermore, the ‘Getting Started’ section of the company’s support page and community forum are now available in German lanaguage as well.

Homey is available for €299 / 319 CHF on the official website of athrom, mediamarkt, saturn and interdiscount and also in selected physical stores.
