Amsterdam-based Recharge.com, a one-stop shop for all branded payment needs, announced on Tuesday that it has appointed Freddy Dijkman as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Dijkman had joined the company in May 2021 as interim CFO.
Who is Freddy Dijkman?
Prior to Recharge.com, Dijkman held CFO roles in tech-driven companies including T-Mobile, Kinly and Avaya, where he transformed and optimised go-to-market strategies, enhanced business models and drove transformational changes.
The company says this international experience has made him an all-round next-generation business leader and he brings an entrepreneurial mindset to the role, alongside a track record of improving both top-line and bottom-line results.
Speaking on the development, Recharge.com’s CEO, Günther Vogelpoel says, “We are thrilled to be scaling up as a company and going from strength to strength with multiple key hires in recent months. Freddy is a business leader who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to help us tackle our next chapter of growth. This new addition to our team will help us to continue our international acceleration, which is gaining more momentum every month.”
“Recharge credit worldwide in seconds”

For instance, customers can digitally buy or send prepaid credit to spend with their favourite brands. This enables brands to easily tap into large new markets and discover new customer segments globally.
Currently, the company operates in over 150 countries with 120 employees and plans to expand even further this year to include gaming, entertainment, shopping, and prepaid money card products. The platform serves over 3 million customers with sales of over $500M growing at 50 per cent year-on-year. It expects to reach over $1B within the next two years.
