Germany-based fintech firm BITA secures €1.25M funding to accelerate sales and invest in R&D

Fintech a.k.a Financial technology startups continue to draw a huge amount of capital and attention. With a lot of growth potential and opportunity, the fintech ecosystem in Europe is steadily being transformed by insurgent startups.

Last year, the value of the biggest private companies exploded and at least two to three fintech unicorns were minted in Europe. All across the globe, numerous startups are launching new apps, better ways of making transactions, in an attempt to take the frictions out of finance.

Meet BITA – Digital Index provider!

Founded in 2018, BITA is a finTech company that provides enterprise-grade index calculation, data, and infrastructure to institutions operating in the passive and quantitative investment spaces. Its Index Engine, BITACORE, offers fast data processing and intuitive index construction through flexible rulebook coding.

Raised €1.25M!

Recently, the company has raised €1.25M from a group of local and international investors. The funding came from the newly founded German VC fund Futury Ventures, Dutch VC fund Volta Ventures, and Belgian investor Michel Akkermans. The company was founded by Christoph Brück, Paul Herrera, Ruben Feldman, Victor Hugo Gomez Zerpa

Accelerate sales and technology!

According to the company, the funding will be used to accelerate sales in Europe and make further investments in technology and data management.

Victor Gomez, CEO of BITA and ex-SVP of Ventures at Deutsche Börse, said:

With this funding, we will be in a good position to accelerate our technology roadmap and expand our sales internationally. We deliberately chose these investors as our partners as their experienced team, high level of expertise, and vast network convinced us from the very beginning.

High-profile clients!

BITA launched its real-time calculation system in October 2018 and already counts some of the largest trading platforms in the world as clients.

BITA’s products have the potential to make a significant piece of the financial system more flexible, and they have an impressive team to make it happen.
