This month, Lightspeed, the supplier of POS and webshop software, will be hosting an event – Lightspeed Connect 2018 – on October 24th in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

It’s no doubt that many of the tech enthusiasts are excited about the upcoming event, especially with the speakers that are said to present at the event. One of them is Bernardo Nunes, Chief Data Scientist at Growth Tribe, who is reportedly going to talk about the importance of AI and machine learning.

Why are people interested in Nunes’ keynote?

In this day and age, one of the most interesting topics in the tech industry is the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI). If you own an iPhone or Pixel phone, chances are you’ve experienced the capabilities of a virtual assistant AI. Although the capabilities of the AI that we have today can be a bit clunky at times, in the future, 10 to 15 years down the road, who knows what things it will be capable of.

As already mentioned, Nunes’ is going to talk about the importance of AI and machine learning in regards to retail. However, what people are more interested in is what new developments that Growth Tribe has achieved. In addition to that is the new and innovative ways using AI in expanding one’s business.

Other speakers

Apart from Nunes, there are other speakers as well – a total of 17 confirmed guest speakers. Just to name a few, there’s MADE.COM’s Managing Director Benelux Damien Poelhekke who will provide an inspiring keynote regarding the path to digital disruptor ‘loved lifestyle brand’ and the power of storytelling to build a brand.  Also, Ayden’s CCO Roeland Prins plans to provide a better understanding regarding the insights of retailing which in return will help retailers better understand customer behaviour.

What else to expect?

The event will be held at Jaarbeurs, an exhibition and convention centre in Utrecht, the Netherlands, on Wednesday, October 24 from 9:30 am to 8:00 PM. During the event, the audience can expect a number of inspiring keynotes and interactive partner sessions that touch on various topics that contribute to the success of any retailer from the speakers.

Although some of the sessions will be in Dutch, there will also be a number of sessions in English as well. With this, anyone that will be attending the event won’t feel out of place and will definitely get to enjoy all the things that the presenters have to offer.
