What is SaaS?

For the starters, Software as a service (SaaS) allows users to connect to and use cloud-based apps over the Internet. The application will run on a SaaS vendor’s servers. Also, access to the application, including performance, security, and availability is maintained by the same provider.

In this regard, here are the SaaS companies based out of Germany that not only offers the best software as a service but pushing the rest of the industry forward.

i2x

The company helps sales and customer support agents with artificial intelligence to transform the human voice into actionable insights at the speed of a face-to-face conversation.  The company provides the most intuitive, productive and personally tailored learning to improve each individual’s skill-set.

Oculyze

Based out of Wildau, Oculyze develops and builds smartphone microscopes with integrated image recognition. Its cloud-based image analysis software transforms ordinary mobile devices into powerful tools delivering accurate and reproducible results in seconds. The company ‘Better Brewing’, an automated yeast counter, now used by hundreds of brewers around the world. The company has so far raised € 1.5 million in funding in 2 rounds.

Zenloop

Zenloop is an NPS feedback management platform which improves customer retention by using the Net Promoter System (NPS) framework.  The customer experience SaaS solution of zenloop lets businesses gather, analyse and respond to feedback from customers in real-time.

Eventually, the startup tackles the major causes of customer churn as it collects customer feedback across every touchpoint and delivers personalised retention actions. Based out of Berlin, it was founded in 2016 by three experienced entrepreneurs – Lukasz Lazewski, Björn Kolbmüller and Paul Schwarzenholz.

Price f(x)

Founded by Christian Tratz, Marcin Cichon, Martin Wricke, Price f(x) offers software platform with system administration dashboards, price analyzer, calculations, quote configuration, payments tools, data modification, and other support services. It has its headquarters in Pfaffenhofen an der Glonn in Germany. Price f(x) has raised a total of € 32.8M in funding over 5 rounds.

Corrux

Based out of Munich, Corrux is an industrial equipment usage analytics startup, which develops simple, powerful applications that let users understand heavy machinery ranging from excavators to track laying machines. The company provides construction managers and OEMs with software to monitor on-site operations and gain insights from data. The company uses artificial intelligence to filter out measurements and alerts of the highest priority.

Founded by Ryan Henderson and Laura Tönnies in 2018, Corrux is working towards developing software which keeps a track of equipment, manages it in real-time, reducing costly downtime and optimizing the maintenance cycle.

Maambu

Headquartered in Berlin, Mambu is a SaaS banking engine powering innovative lending and deposits. This platform provides financial institutions a competitive edge by allowing them to rapidly create, launch and service any lending or deposit portfolio.

Built from the cloud up, Mambu is a powerful alternative to the costs and complexity of traditional core banking systems or custom in-house solutions. Launched in 2011 by

Eugene Danilkis, Frederik Pfisterer, Sofia Nunes, the technology powers over 6000 loan and deposit products which serve over eight million end customers.
