Wynd: All you need to know

Launched in 2013, Wynd was founded by Ismaël Ould. Initially, the French startup began its operations with a point-of-sale solution for restaurants and other brick-and-mortar stores.

Wynd has successfully created a huge clientele which includes companies such as Total, Sodexo or Monceau Fleurs.

Wynd integrates into the client’s infrastructure via APIs easily as compared to other traditional publishers such as Oracle, Manhattan Associates and Aptos, thus allowing the client to operate faster.

How does it work?

Wynd offers a software-as-a-service platform for computer-powered machinery, which helps in managing the client’s inventory, handles orders and payments and helps the client’s staff in preparing orders for their customers.

In simple words, Wynd publishes an omnichannel solution in SaaS “unified trade”, which manages the financial and logistical, flows of stores, ranging from cashing to piloting the preparation of orders on the shelves.

This software helps in integrating the inventory across online stores as well as offline stores. It also does the job of product information management service.

In case the client is using different software for its other parts of the business, Wynd has an API which enables it to integrate with third-party services.

Why is it required?

In order to cope up with the user’s demand for an omnichannel shopping experience, it is necessary for companies to digitise their networks.

What will happen to the funds?

The startup is aiming to develop internationally with the capital contribution. Wynd aims to create new offices in London, Germany and Spain.

The company also aims to deepen its presence in the Middle East by strengthening its workforce in Dubai. Moreover, the company aims to spread in Southeast Asia by opening an office in Hong Kong.

Building the right team!

Wynd has also projected its plans to increase its Artificial Intelligence team by 50 people, which currently has 7 people. Wynd Founder, Ismaël Ould has planned to recruit 200 people in the next 18 months.
