The Czech company aims to take on the French restaurant payment company Sunday. Choice QR says it plans to use the capital for its European expansion, including Spain, Italy, and Portugal – markets that Sunday has announced it will leave-.

Currently, the company is especially strong in the Czech and Polish markets. It has clients worldwide, including the USA, Hungary, Germany, and even the United Arab Emirates.

“We can compete with them on the same level while spending 10 times less money,” says Alex Ilyash, Choice QR’s founder and CEO. “We are an eastern European startup and have much less cost on sales and amazing developers who work hard. We are humble and hungry… while Sunday is hype and spends too much money.”

Choice QR: What you need to know

Founded by Alex Ilyash, Choice QR offers restaurants a SaaS-based online ordering solution.

The company aims to cover all channels through which restaurants communicate with their guests: QR payments, web pages, table reservations, table ordering, and websites for takeaway and delivery, without commission.

The Czech company plans to digitise guest services, collect information about guests across all channels, increase loyalty-programme adoption and boost revenue.

The company offers SaaS solutions with 6-12 month subscription plans. The revenue covers all sales and marketing expenses from subscriptions, and the company needs to invest only in product development, says the company.

According to the company, any global POS (Point of Sale) provider can integrate easily with Choice QR’s open API. As per its claims, Choice QR is currently integrated with more than 20 services, including POS systems and delivery services.

Choice QR has already connected with 7,500 restaurants in 20 countries. The company can now onboard 170–200 new restaurants each month, aiming to increase this number to 500 new restaurants monthly.

Choice QR’s team comprises more than 40 people and is actively hiring. It aims to grow to over 100 staff by the end of the year.
