Last week, it was reported that Thuisbezorgd.nl together with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Vermaat Groep and Burger King Foodgroup launched a delivery service for companies established in Schiphol-North, Schiphol-South and in the Central Business District.

With it, there was one question that many were very curious about, ‘what will be its impact on the businesses on the areas mentioned?’

The Benefits

If you’ve been to the Netherlands, chances are you’ve visited the Schiphol Plaza – the shopping center of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. It’s a place where you can find almost anything because it houses an extensive range of shops and restaurants. Hell, it even has bars!

André van den Berg, CCO at Royal Schiphol Group, believes that the delivery service offered by Thuisbezorgd.nl will help extend the reach of restaurants located at the Schiphol Plaza. As a matter of fact, for years, it has been a meeting place for 65,000 employees, both inside and outside the terminal and on the Schiphol grounds.

So with delivery service of Thuisbezorgd.nl, it will in return make it possible to deliver lunch and dinner to offices at Schiphol. Let’s face it, restaurants can be very crowded during lunch breaks which can be a nightmare for some people. In fact, some will even choose to skip lunch due to the limited time available and just settle for a sandwich or a cup of coffee instead.

The Delivery Service

What’s amazing about Thuisbezorgd.nl’s delivery service is that it’s very convenient to use. Customers can order easily through the website or app. Just enter your location, choose the restaurant and the dish you want to order, and then pay either in cash or online (iDEAL, credit card, PayPal or Bitcoin). That’s it.
