These thriving tech scaleups from Germany were awarded at Red Herring Awards 2019

Red Herring, a media company that covers innovation, technology, financing and entrepreneurial activity recently announced the much expected “2019 Red Herring Top 100 Europe Winners.”

For the starters, Red Herring 100 Awards are generally perceived as one of the industry’s most prestigious recognition with hundreds of candidates participating. Notably, the award highlights the most exciting startups from Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Also, Red Herring uses more than 20 criteria to analyse the companies. Some criteria are scale-based and some are absolute numbers. In this article, we have listed out the winners of the 2019 Red Herring awards from Germany.

Creapaper GmbH

Founded by Uwe D’Agnone, Creapaper has developed an innovative raw material for paper production that is made mostly out of grass fibre. In addition to the use of biodegradable paper, the company also focus on reduction of waste in the printing process, as well as the use of environmentally friendly printing inks. Based out of Hennef, Germany, the company has won Red Herring 2019 award under CleanTech sector.

Infinitec Solutions GmbH

Based out of Berlin, Infinitec is a software-as-a-service-provider with a white-label-solution focusing on B2B2SME. Through partners and corporates, Infinitec offers a simple, digital solution for the financial management of small and medium-sized enterprises. This company won the Red Herring 2019 award under Banking/M&A segment.

Intive

Based out of Munich, Intive helps its customers to turn ideas into digital reality. The company co-creates exceptional software solutions that help its clients to accelerate their own digital transformation.  The company’s operations are headquartered in Munich, with 13 development centres in Germany, Poland and Argentina, as well as regional offices in the US, France, Spain, Sweden and the UK. Intive won the Red Herring 2019 award under Software segment.

Link11 is a European IT security vendor specialising in DDoS Protection, headquartered in Germany with operations in the UK, US, Switzerland and Austria. The Link11 DDoS Protection Cloud uses a patent-pending technology based on Artificial Intelligence which protects critical infrastructures and websites from DDoS attacks. The company won Red Herring 2019 award under Security segment.

OncoBeta GmbH

Located in Munich, OncoBeta is a manufacturer and service provider of innovative medical solutions specialized in the development and commercialization of state-of-the-art therapies utilizing epidermal radioisotopes. Right now, the company works on a solution called the Rhenium-SCT (Skin Cancer Therapy) a novel treatment option for basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) or squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs) based on the local irradiation of tumours with the beta-emitter Rhenium-188. The company won Red Herring 2019 award under Medical Devices segment.

The company helps sales and customer support agents with artificial intelligence to transform the human voice into actionable insights at the speed of a face-to-face conversation.  The company provides the most intuitive, productive and personally tailored learning to improve each individual’s skill-set. The company won Red Herring 2019 award under Software segment.
