Koblenz, Germany-based nuwacom, an AI startup, has secured €3.2M in a Seed funding round led by Dutch venture capital firm Newion, joined by a select group of experienced angel investors.

Newion is an Amsterdam-based software investor focused on startups in Northwestern Europe. With its fourth fund of €120M, Newion invests as a (co-) lead investor in seed and Series A funding rounds.

“We see outstanding potential in nuwacom’s team and technology,” says Mathijs de Wit, Partner at Newion. “The vision of an intelligent workspace that combines collaboration, knowledge, and security is exactly what the future of enterprise AI requires.”

The Dutch company will use the funds to accelerate team expansion, go-to-market execution, and product innovation.

With this investment, nuwacom plans to roll out its platform across Europe as well.

nuwacom: Simplifying teamwork through AI

nuwacom was founded in 2024 by entrepreneurs Christophe Folschette, Sascha Böhr, and Alexander Kleinen.

“Most AI platforms don’t plug seamlessly into real workflows,” says Christophe Folschette, co-founder of nuwacom and previously co-founder of Talkwalker, which was acquired by Hootsuite in 2024.

The company helps businesses keep control of their data while using AI effectively in different departments.

The platform connects internal knowledge, teams, and AI agents in a secure setting, promoting smarter and more collaborative work.

Companies such as Lufthansa, Vodafone, BLG Logistics, and Union Investment already use the platform to improve how knowledge is accessed, shared, and turned into action.

Typical use cases include AI-based knowledge management, content creation across communication, marketing, and corporate teams, and automation of workflows with AI – all while maintaining brand consistency, compliance, and control over data.

For many organisations, these workflows previously required multiple disconnected tools – separate systems for search, writing, reviews, and approvals.

“At nuwacom, we’re building a workspace where humans and AI work together – securely, intuitively, and at scale,” adds Folschette.
