Oslo-based Papirfly, a brand management platform, announced on Tuesday, May 16, that it has acquired Paris-based Keepeek, a software solutions provider of Digital Asset Management (DAM).
This acquisition is part of Papirfly’s efforts to develop and grow its position as one of Europe’s top creators of brand management solutions.
Papirfly, founded in 2000, offers brand management technologies to assist companies in achieving 100 per cent consistency at every touchpoint while regaining control of brand identity, all within a single platform.
The Papirfly Group, a company owned mostly by the European growth investor Oslo-based Verdane, assists clients such as BMW, Unilever, Vodafone, and IBM in implementing uniform branding across locations.
The company is currently active in eight European nations and provides solutions to daily brand management difficulties for over 600 businesses and one million customers.
Joakim Kjemperud, Principal at Verdane, says, “We’re delighted to back Papirfly’s acquisition of Keepeek, France’s market leader in DAM. This marks our second acquisition with Papirfly since Verdane’s investment in early 2022, and with Verdane’s backing, Papirfly will cement market leadership through further acquisitions in key European geographies.
“Paired with the company’s impressive organic growth, this ambitious strategy will put Papirfly on track to become Europe’s go-to brand management platform.”
What does Keepeek offer?
Founded in 2008, Keepeek provides a collaborative platform for marketing and communications teams to organise, manage, and share their multimedia material. The platform enables management of the full content chain – from design to automated distribution.
“Our mission is to help marketing and communication departments store their multimedia content. We manage the entire content chain, from the design phase, classification, organisation, collaborative creation, validation and finally automated distribution.”
Keepeek offers a fully personalised tool with four main themes:
- Marketing and communication content: Organise and deliver quality media to teams and external agencies worldwide
- The brand platform: Align the brand’s use with the creative community
- Product content: Reduce time to market and feed numerous channels (PIM, e-commerce site, mobile application, etc.)
- Corporate heritage: preserving and developing firms’ audiovisual heritage
Thomas Larzilliere, CEO and founder of Keepeek, says, “Papirfly’s reputation for innovation and excellence in brand management is well known, and we believe that our expertise in DAM will be a valuable addition to their platform.”
“Together, we will be able to provide customers with an even stronger offering and help them to achieve their goals more efficiently.”
Clients of Keepeek include companies like Yves Rocher, Airbus, Veolia, Orange, and EDF.
Aim of this acquisition
Papirfly says the deal will ensure that the company maintains its growth trajectory and solidifies its position as the market leader in brand management in Europe.
The company will be able to give its clients better offerings by utilising Keepeek’s skills and expertise in the DAM area, particularly in French-speaking Europe. This will enable them to build, manage, and distribute their digital assets effectively and across locations.
Erik Langaker, Chairman of Papirfly Group, says, “Acquiring Keepeek is a crucial step in our strategy to fortify and expand our position as the top provider of brand management software in Europe.”
“This move is set to bolster our competitive edge, not least in France and French-speaking Europe, and ensure that we strengthen our leadership status in the industry.”
Karl Fredrik Lund, CEO at Papirfly adds that “together with Thomas and the Keepeek team, we will significantly strengthen our overall offering in France, integrating all our features with Keepeek’s DAM solution to deliver additional value and ROI to their impressive list of French and international customers.”
