Last update:

Berlin-based Pitch is a collaborative presentation software for modern teams. The company aims to change how presentations are crafted, and knowledge is shared. It focuses on real-time communication, smart workflows, and customisable templates to make it easy for teams to work together to develop beautiful presentations.

Pitch raises Series B round

In a recent development, the collaborative presentation platform announced that it has raised $85M (approx €69.5M) in its Series B round of funding led by Lakestar and Tiger Global. In addition, the round also saw participation from existing investors, Index Ventures, and Thrive Capital.

Christian Reber, Founder & CEO of Pitch, says, “Our mission at Pitch is to enable every team’s best thinking. It’s been six months since we launched to the world, and tens of thousands of teams have already discovered how easy it is to create, collaborate on, and deliver beautiful presentations on Pitch. We’re thrilled to have two world-class partners in Tiger Global and Lakestar onboard as we pursue our vision to build the first complete platform for presentations.”

The platform has already raised over $135M (approx €110.4M) in funding to date.

Funds for product growth

In order to further boost its momentum and growth in the year ahead, Pitch will invest the proceeds from the current round to develop its core technology and product, increase its global headcounts, and extend its software platform across the entire presentation workflow.

The round follows the company’s growth just after its 6-month launch of service to the public. And, according to Pitch, it already has tens of thousands of teams that have opened 125,000 workspaces on its platform, including big brands like Intercom, Slack, Superhuman, Grammarly, and Notion, among others.

What is Pitch?

Pitch is presentation software that offers real-time collaboration, smart workflows, and design features. It helps teams to create and deliver presentations, as well as provides templates crafted by experts. The company was started in 2018 by a team of eight co-founders out of a shared passion for creating well-crafted and delightful products.

The founders are Christian Reber (Founder & CEO), Charlette Prevot (co-founder & Head of Operations), Jan Martin (co-founder & Designer), Adam Renklint (co-founder & CTO), Eric Labod (co-founder & QA Engineer), Marvin Labod (co-founder & Software Engineer), Misha Karpenko (co-founder & Software Engineer), and Vanessa Stock (co-founder & Head of HR).

In the words of the founders themselves, here’s why they created Pitch, “We founded Pitch with the goal of building the first complete platform for presentations, and the mission to enable every team’s best thinking. We’re unifying the entire workflow of presenting, so teams can go from draft to deck in no time, and presenters and audiences can connect anywhere, anytime. All in one place.”

The company currently has a team of over 100 thinkers, makers, and storytellers. Pitch is a remote-first company.

Here’s what the platform offers

  • A publishing and content ecosystem: Pitch is building a dedicated home for publishing and exchanging presentations and templates wherein users will be able to discover content from top creators and brands and publish their own work directly to public profile pages. In the upcoming weeks, Pitch will launch the first of these pages for a select group of creators and will open up access to all users later this year
  • Advanced presentation analytics: The company is building integrated solutions for users to distribute presentations and monitor performance. This feature will enable secure sharing and advanced analytics within Pitch and will give users detailed insights into the reach and readership of a presentation and engagement levels on specific slides
  • Narrative recording and playback: The platform is building new ways to highlight, record, and play back presentations in any context. These soon-to-be-launched tools will ensure presenters and recipients can engage across an expanded range of meeting formats and team workflows

Currently, Pitch offers both free and paid plans for teams of all sizes.
