Prague-based Filuta AI, a company that develops tools based on artificial intelligence (AI), has raised $4.2M (approximately €3.6M) in a seed funding round led by Rockaway Ventures.
Rockaway Ventures is a venture capital fund under the Rockaway Capital investment group, investing in startups that are transforming traditional industries through next-generation technologies with artificial intelligence at the forefront.
Part of Jakub Havrlant’s investment platform, the fund systematically identifies and supports late-seed and Series A founders across Central Europe and the DACH region.
It also seeks out founders from the Czech and Slovak diaspora in Western Europe and the U.S.
“The Filuta AI team has created a technologically dominant product, but most importantly, they are targeting a clear problem area faced by game developers and enabling them to achieve significant cost savings. Additionally, we have found that this problem isn’t unique to game developers, and so Filuta AI has the opportunity to reach an even larger market in the future,” says Max Palko, Principal at Rockaway Ventures.
Other investors, including Tarpan Capital and Lion Beat Capital, also participated in the round.
The Czech company will use the funds primarily to create new jobs and accelerate the company’s growth.
“We will significantly expand our team – in September, we should grow from 33 up to 43 people, including 20 PhDs in mathematics and artificial intelligence and four professors specialising in artificial intelligence, who are recognised as internationally acclaimed leaders in their field. This will create one of the strongest AI development teams in the Czech Republic. It will allow us to significantly shorten product development cycles and further accelerate our growth,” says Filip Dvořák, founder of Filuta AI.
The company is planning to prepare for a Series A investment round in the second half of 2026.
Filuta AI: Commercialising Composite AI across industries
ArtiLed by Filip Dvořák, Filuta AI develops advanced tools for using composite artificial intelligence in business.
The company offers a platform that helps create complex AI solutions, including autonomous agents for testing digital simulations.
According to the company, the main benefit of deploying composite AI is a multi-fold increase in efficiency.
Composite AI combines different AI technologies — symbolic AI (rule-based, explainable systems) and subsymbolic AI (neural networks and statistical models) into a unified framework.
According to the company, this hybrid approach offers the transparency and logic-driven accuracy of symbolic reasoning with the adaptability and flexibility of modern deep learning.
Filuta’s core innovation lies in automating this composition, giving rise to systems that can reason, communicate, and solve problems across complex domains.
As a result, it can solve highly complex tasks and is both faster and more accurate than conventional machine learning, which is still often equated with AI.
“A specific example from the gaming industry illustrates this. Here, a total of 72 testers needed three weeks to test a new game, while the deployment of AI makes it possible to reduce this time to two days,” explains Filip Dvořák. “Our goal is to capture more than ten per cent of the global market in this area.”
Filuta AI has several patents protecting its technology in areas like gaming, electronic toys, aviation, automotive, and defence (especially military simulators).
The founding team has experience in AI departments at Google and Microsoft, working in academia (Stanford, Charles University), and at US government agencies and research centres (DARPA, PARC).
A year after its inception in 2022, the company secured a record-breaking pre-seed investment of nearly CZK 56M.
