The Hague-based Quan, a scale-up focused on supporting teams in measuring and managing their well-being, has announced a new strategic collaboration with Zorg van de Zaak, a Utrecht-based occupational healthcare provider.
Additionally, Quan has secured a bridging round of funding from its current investors. The investment was led by Hearstlab and 4impact, along with existing investors Y Combinator, Joanna Invests, Golden Egg Check, and Knop Ventures.
The funds will support Quan’s product development efforts and facilitate expansion in the Dutch and UK markets.
Quan’s partnership with Zorg van de Zaak
Quan and Zorg van de Zaak have joined forces, enabling Quan’s science-backed well-being framework to reach 1.3 million employees in the Netherlands through Zorg van de Zaak’s network of 67,000 customers.
This partnership empowers businesses to objectively assess team well-being and implement effective risk management strategies, enhancing overall organisational health and productivity.
Teams using Quan have reported average improvements of 25 per cent in targeted areas like workplace stress and anxiety within 12 weeks of implementing the solution.
Furthermore, Quan’s framework undergoes continuous validation through an academic partnership with King’s Business School at King’s College London, ensuring its effectiveness and reliability.
Rita Zijlstra, clinical neuropsychologist and board member at Zorg van de Zaak, says, “At Zorg van de Zaak, we are moving into more digital and proactive approaches to preventative healthcare.”
“Quan was a natural choice to help us enable our customers to keep their finger on the pulse of well-being in their organisations, and spot and manage risks around issues such as burnout, retention, and absenteeism before they become problems.”
Brief about Quan
Founded in 2020 by Arosha Brouwer and Lucy Howie, Quan is a solution designed to assess and enhance well-being and performance within teams.
By measuring over 200 predictors of well-being spanning work and personal life, Quan identifies areas of risk and improvement for individuals and teams.
The platform connects managers and teams with targeted solutions to drive measurable enhancements in working conditions, ultimately fostering healthier and more productive environments.
Arosha Brouwer, CEO and co-founder Quan, says, “The science is clear: teams with a healthy level of well-being perform better, are more creative, stay longer in their roles, and have lower levels of burnout.”
“It’s time organisations take a proactive and evidence-based approach to measuring well-being and its drivers, rather than offering a suite of perks that no one is really using.”
