Valencia-based Sesame, a human resources management startup, announced that it secured €23M in fresh funding led by GP Bullhound funds, with the participation of PSG.
The startup claims it is one of the top choices for HR solutions in Spain, serving a large number of clients.
Albert Soriano, CEO of Sesame, says, “In Spain, it is already common to use different software to manage various tasks in the human resources and finance area. Digitalisation is already a reality and the market is quite mature in that sense.”
“Now we are encountering companies that demand an “all-in-one” solution that facilitates access and centralises what they now have in different tools, on a single platform.”
Capital utilisation
The funding will empower Sesame to expand its software capabilities, introduce new verticals, and accelerate its global reach.
Additionally, Sesame plans to launch new financial features like expense tracking, payroll advances, and flexible compensation, positioning itself as a comprehensive HR management solution in the market.
CEO Soriano says, “Another benefit that this round of investment will bring us will be to expand and improve the use of artificial intelligence at Sesame.”
“We were pioneers in Spain, within the human resources management software sector, in launching AI functionalities that allow us to improve and strengthen many of our tools, such as People Analytics, evaluations, recruitment or internal communication.”
“We are going to invest a lot of effort in continuing along this path to apply AI and improve the experience of our users, but also internally to be more agile and efficient.”
“In addition to this, we are going to continue investing in talent, consolidating in Spain, as well as strengthening our presence in Latin America, especially in Mexico where we have already operated since last year, and continue opening markets in other European countries.”
The company also plans to expand its team and double its workforce within the next year. It is recruiting diverse candidates, including software developers, AI specialists, marketers, and sales professionals.
